We have been on a road trip for a week and this stop has been the more authentic one. Charm is everywhere in this place, excellent sleep and breakfast and the hostess is a gem. Best mexican food experience ever in the low key dinner nearby. Felt like we were locals.

Everything about this stay was fantastic! The rooms were clean, comfortable and just so well done. If you want an authentic southwestern experience you are going to get it! The views were great. We had a little private patio and in the morning when we got up there was a crock of fresh hot coffee outside our room. Super comfortable bed! We went over to the great dining room when we got up and it was an inspired menu, crisp perfect bacon and a massive omlette stuffed with cheese and fresh green chilis, a wonderful fruit plate with yogurt and homemade granola on the side. Marlene treated us like family! I was happy to find this place and my husband and I will be back on a regular basis!

“Smart alternative to chain hotels in El Paso”

We were traveling to El Paso for the Sun Bowl and all of the travel sites kept directing me to the well known hotel chains but I was hoping for something with the southwest flair so I kept digging and was greatly rewarded. This place LOOKS like it belongs on a Mesa in the desert, which it does. My husband was concerned that B&Bs are not very private or quiet and we later laughed with the other couple staying there that it is so quiet it is like being in a sensory depravation chamber. The rooms are styled with good attention to detail and are roomier than the pictures on the website. In fact, we took some pictures to try and copy some features at our home but I just know they aren't going to turn out as good as what Marlene and her husband did. Good beds, ours had great powder room with separate bathroom. The private patio is adorable, but the back deck is where you are going to gravitate to and makes it different from your normal hotel room. It has plenty of room with different types of chairs, lounges etc, all keeping the southwest/western. Other reviewers talk about the view of the lights of El Paso and they are right, but put it with the silence of the desert and it really works well. The owners warn you about the gravel drive leading up to the house but it is fine, not a problem. In fact the only problem some are going to have is that the TV does not have a lot of channels and we had slow internet, but that could be due to thick walls. If the weather had been warmer we would have been out on the deck, the patio the trails around the mesa anyway, so it didn't matter much to us. Email was fine, no problem. Another thing I liked was the good communication we had with Marlene prior to our arrival. When I had questions I got good prompt replies and then she had questions for us to make sure she had what we needed. Our only regret is that we only booked one night and were obligated to stay in town for the other two nights. We should have stayed at what I ended up calling "the Pueblo", because our in town hotel was put to shame after staying at Casa de Suenos. Oh, and I almost forgot breakfast: a baked blueberry cream cheese french toast. There is no doubt we will return. Thanks Marlene for a great stay.

well all i can say is wow on arrival I found it hard to find so did the taxi driver but it was well worth it if i was ever coming back which i would if i was ever in el paso i would hire a car not a taxi but this b&b is away from everthing which could be classed as a double edged sword if you like being in the sticks it is great but if you like the town centre its not so good but you must hire a car the rooms are authentic mexican design with a large open space at the rear if you like walking in the desert
