Treat yourself to a retreat getaway

Many of our guests are hurrying from one place to another and stop here in the midst or their travels.  A common statement when people arrive and take a look at the gorgeous views of the Mesilla Valley from the back patio is - I wish I would have booked more time here.

There is a quick fix to that expression - add a second or third night to your stay and take the push out of your trip.  Relax in the lounge chairs or glider on the back patio and watch the stars.

We can fix you up with a good dose of relax - great coffee, good conversation, and a desert guide (Peanut) for early morning meanders through the high desert terrain.

Santa Teresa Industrial Park Expansion

Things are hopping along the U.S/Mexico Border in Santa Teresa.   New businesses are locating in the industrial park.  Union Pacific Railroad is in the first phase of the intermodal facility.

Sun Edison is working with El Paso Electric Co. on a solar energy project.

The Mesilla Valley Economic Development Association is working hard to bring in many new businesses to this section of NM near Santa Teresa.

POLICES

CHECK IN

Check-In is between 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm.  Please call ahead for availability of earlier or later check-in times.  Because there is not a front desk like there is in a hotel, and the innkeepers are up early to prepare breakfast, we ask that you try to adhere to the established check in times as much as possible.

CHECK OUT

Check-Out is 11:00 am.  Arrangements must be made for later check-out times.  Guests staying longer than 30 minutes past the established check out time will be charged a late fee of $25 for each 30 minutes past check out time.

CHILDREN

Children 6 years and older are welcome.  The $10.00 charge per extra person also applies to each child.  Our facility is just not set up for toddlers and younger children.  There are many prickly cacti, and some desert critters in the gardens that can certainly be hazardous to unsuspecting little ones.

SMOKING

All rooms and areas within the building are non-smoking areas.  Smoking is permitted in all outdoor areas.  An extra cleaning fee of $375.00 will be charged for smoking in any of the rooms or interior areas of the house.

CANCELLATION CHARGES

There is no cancellation charge for cancellations made more than 30 days before the check-in date.

Cancellations made between 10 and 30 days before the check in date will be charged $15.00.

Cancellations made 10 days or less before the check in date will be the full amount of the reservation.  A gift certificate, good for 120 days, will be given for the full amount of the reservation of the cancelled reservation.  Use of the gift certificate is subject to availability.  We will make every effort to rent the room for the timeframe of your cancelled reservation to avoid cancellation fees.

PETS

Well mannered pets are allowed with prior permission in the Oso and Tortugas rooms.

Pets are not to be left unattended in the room or on the rom's private patio.  Pets are to be kept on a leash at all times.  Owners are expected to pick up after their pets have gone to the bathroom and plastic bags will be provided on request.  Pet owners are responsible for damage caused by pets and extra fees may be assessed for cleaning or if needed, for replacement of furnishings.  Pets are not permitted on the beds or furniture because of the sensitivity of other travellers to pet dander and hair.

Items left at the B&B

If you leave personal items (cell phone chargers, clothes, etc.) please contact us and we will gladly return them to you.  There will be a service charge of $25.00 plus the cost of postage.  This is due to our rural location and needing to make a special trip to the post office.

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the El Paso area, this a very nice outside of the el paso area. The place is like a touch of Santa Fe style. The view from the back patio if fantastic, especially at nite. YOu can see the lights of the city down the mesa, its like Christmas lights. The place has a gas BBQ grill, so on one nite we had a romantic BBQ on the patio, lite music, wine, lots of start seen very well being away from the city. The rooms were very nice. The breakfast was yummy and feeling. No not just toast and bagels, but full breakfast, eggs, fruit, coffee..!! We could very easily stay there all season.. The Inn was like a hacienda, nice little areas here and there around the property, and a very nice place to walk out in the back yard area. it was like a desert garden, even had a life size medicine wheel, to see and…

I had the pleasure of staying at Casa de Suenos during a trip to New Mexico in November. It was amazing. The owner was so sweet and such a pleasure to converse with. She really made us feel like we were at home. I stayed for two nights, and had a very nice breakfast both mornings. I also really liked that she put out a thermos of coffee by my room so I could have coffee as soon as I got out of bed in the morning.

I live in Atlanta, so for me it was a real treat to go out to New Mexico and see the beautiful scenery. Following my first night at Casa de Suenos, we woke up early in the morning to see the sunrise. It was fantastic! And of course, the owner made us hot coffee to keep us warm.

The room was really clean and had a lot of nice touches. I slept very well.…

We were traveling to El Paso for the Sun Bowl and all of the travel sites kept directing me to the well known hotel chains but I was hoping for something with the southwest flair so I kept digging and was greatly rewarded. This place LOOKS like it belongs on a Mesa in the desert, which it does. My husband was concerned that B&Bs are not very private or quiet and we later laughed with the other couple staying there that it is so quiet it is like being in a sensory depravation chamber. The rooms are styled with good attention to detail and are roomier than the pictures on the website. In fact, we took some pictures to try and copy some features at our home but I just know they aren't going to turn out as good as what Marlene and her husband did. Good beds, ours had great powder room with separate bathroom. The private patio is adorable, but the…
